Under the Shadow is an amazing horror film and the DVD is a Contender for Pick of the Week. That’s not to say there are no releases worth picking up. There’s a lull in the quality and quantity of releases on the home market, one that will continue until the holiday releases start coming out. Home Market Releases for January 10th, 2017

Is there a problem with the film? Or was it released too soon for Awards Season and without Oscar buzz wasn’t able to find an audience in theaters? However, it struggled in theaters and went nowhere during Awards Season. It is an inspirational movie about someone rising up from challenging circumstances. I think it is fair to say Queen of Katwe is an Oscar-bait movie. Queen of Katwe is the best of this list and the Blu-ray is the Pick of the Week.įeatured Blu-ray and DVD Review: Queen of Katwe That doesn’t mean we have no contenders for Pick of the Week, just that they are smaller films or ones that struggled in theaters. It’s a slow week at the top, as there are no new releases that were hits in theaters. Home Market Releases for January 31st, 2017
